Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence can be described as the ability to prepare a chatbot, Chatbot, or system-generated robot to think and act like humans. Also known as “Machine Intelligence”, which refers to machines that imitate human minds. This includes learning through experience and problem solving. John McCarthy first created the field of AI in 1956 to differentiate it from cybernetics. Four AI leaders were the founding fathers of AI. In 1959, computers had outperformed humans in checker strategies. Artificial Intelligence is used across many fields, such as Cybersecurity and military, government agencies, advertisement, automations, etc.
What is AI?
AI, which was coined in 1956, experienced a run of success in 1960. The Department of Defense of the United States heavily funded AI research. AI’s founders had hoped that AI would one day be as intelligent and capable of performing the same tasks as humans. AI Fund was closed in 1974. The AI Winter phase saw slow progress.
Expert Systems, an AI program that mimics human brains in terms of knowledge and analysis, became a success in the 1980s. AI was also used in logistics and Data Mining, diagnosis, etc. in the 1990s.
This resulted in AI being more popular because of its greater computational power, solving problems, and interaction with many other fields, such as Statistics and Mathematics and similar fields. Deep Blue, a chess playing system, defeated Garry Kasparov as the world champion. Watson, an IBM query answering system, won the Quiz Exhibition match against the two best Jeopardy champions.
Artificial Intelligence has three goals: Perception, Reasoning and Learning. Simple Algorithms can be used in simple frame apps, while stronger algorithms aid strong artificial intelligence.
Artificial Intelligence falls into two categories.
- Weak AI Intelligence: Our weak Artificial Intelligence uses an algorithm that is specifically designed for a job. Weak Artificial system includes Amazon Alexa, Siri.
- Strong Artificial intelligence: Strong Artificial Systems employs a system to perform complex tasks similar to human tasks, without the need for human intervention. You can use them for Self-driving cars as well as Hospitality and Navigation.
- Researchers don’t consider intelligence to be a single trait.it involves a combination of multiple abilities. American companies owned 2/3rds total investments in 2016, according to the 2016 American Companies Report. Artificial intelligence allows you to learn by trial and error. When applied to artificial intelligence, problem solving is a systematic way of reaching the desired goal.
The two main types of problem-solving strategies are general and special. A special purpose approach is used to address a particular problem and can be very specific. While general purpose can apply to many problems, it is more flexible. AI is an interdisciplinarity-based science that aids in building intelligent machines that can do tasks that require human intelligence. With advances in Machine learning concepts and Deep learning concepts, AI is undergoing a virtual shift across all industries.
Artificial Intelligence and its Uses
Artificial intelligence is being used in many areas, such as marketing, finance, banking and healthcare.
AI has increased interest in marketing and been involved. It was common to shop online for a product but it wasn’t always easy to find the right product. We can now search for the right product and its relative products using a search engine that reads our minds to give us the best results. Netflix is one example. Netflix allows you to find the name of the movie and the related movie if you search as comedy-thriller/suspense. Marketing will see more real-time applications as it grows and advances.
Artificial Intelligence is now present in the banking sector and provides customer support through chatbot applications. These apps provide the best solutions to customers. AI also helps to prevent frauds with credit cards and online. India’s most trusted Bank HDFC, for example, has its Chatbot AI-Based Chatbot, and the latest IRCTC AI Based app “Ask Diha”.
AI is used to predict or forecast the future by using historical data. We can see an example of AI used to predict stock markets and increase profit margins.
AI has brought about a lot of change in the health care industry. A clinical support system was developed by an organization to help prevent heart stroke. Aside from AI, it has also been used for Radiology, Imaging and Disease Diagnosis.
Artificial Intelligence technology is used to help virtual assistants find the most common problems. AI technology is used in most of the appliances for your home. To use AI technology, turn on fans that have Led lights. Amazon Echo, a virtual assistant used to translate human languages, is one of the most popular. Google Duplex is powered by machine learning and NLP, which allows you to make reservations, book, manage your schedule, and so on.
